Quite simply: It suits us and our values better. Darker shades of green not only radiate calmness and confidence but also represent tradition and the preservation of beautiful things. The word green is very common in our language. For example, a successful gardener has a "green thumb," one goes to the "green" for vacation, or one praises something "beyond the green clover." There is even a day that has green in its name: Maundy Thursday. But that actually comes from "greinen," which means to cry. And that's not so good. So it's better to be out and about in a "green wave" by car! And when things are going well, everything is "in the green area." If someone is green to you, you find them likeable. For us, green has no political significance - people simply like green. We hope you do too!
